This was my first exposure to the Fear Effect franchise. I enjoyed the artwork, especially the cutscenes. I enjoyed being introduced to two new beautiful female protagonists, Hanna and Rain. They are as beautiful as classic Lara Croft. The story was ok. The puzzles were ok. Unfortunately, the combat was annoying. As I progressed through the game, I found myself only wanting to make it to the next cutscene, so that I could enjoy the cutscenes. The artwork in the DLC was stunning. I haven't listened to the music in the DLC but the music in the game was good.The overall gameplay is reminiscent of Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.I would like to point out that this game fully supports x-input gamepads.I will buy the remakes of the original Fear Effect games.For me, the artwork and cutscenes are of high enough quality to recommend this game.. CAN BE BOUGHT!Well it is an very hard game with hard puzzles and even harder fights, what is the most fun part of the game. To sad the devs make this part very anoying by clicking through 3 screens only to reload the autosave. Besides that the game is nice, but its kinda short, for a small price its OK if you like this kind of games and want some challenge.. Don't buy this POS. Baby's first isometric stealth shooter. Doesn't get remotely difficult until the second to last boss fight, and then becomes baby's first video game again. Story just hammers through like they were pressed for time. Endings ALL suck, good or bad. Characters barely resemble their original versions. Sexuality (the thing that made the game groundbreaking for it's time) is absolutely absent. Dialogue is terrible. Voice acting is terrible. ♥♥♥♥ Fear Effect Sedna. This game is an insult to the first two. I have to assume that anyone who gave this game a good review was either paid to, or they've never played another video game before in their life, and are amazed at digital characters moving around and talking.. I don't think so buddy.I failed the opening Puzzle Tutorial three times. This reminds me too much of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on Nintendo 64.I bought this because I respect Data from the Star-Ship Enterprise, and how his actor would feel with a, 'New Millennium PS2.'Otherwise, the art went downhill, because you aren't fully maniopulating our polygons, you should have used similar polygons to original, with more rendering fog, but also Punctuation, 'snap,'s in the backdrop.This was the first time I had //really/ sit down to play a FEAR EFFECT game, and, amusingly, I believed taht it may have actually been a series of edge-pushing CGI-movie games. I was claerly mistaken. I respect your efforts.Can you allow your models to reflect your own mind a bit more? I Would like shaders, great, but also fewer compleity. I recommend the Nintendo 64 Castlevania games, but I also like a lot of the symmetry of SEGA-Dreamcast modeling. Anyway, I thought from your advertisements teh series would be a little different. Finally after 17 years we have another game from FE series, and actually interesting one from many diffirent points of view. Despite many bad revievs I've decided to buy this game and I'm glad I did. FE:Sedna was a lot fun for me.Overall atmosphere, visuals and music are capturing spirit of Fear Effect series very nicely.Sedna have fair amount of realy cool puzzles like previous titles.Dialog and story is OK. It's a shame that game lack those realy funny and ridiculous moments you could find in previous games but thats no big deal.Many people points that voice acting is terrible, I'm not sure what to say about that. ???I'm not native english speaker and I found voice acting to be quite decent, nothing amazing but deffinetly not terrible.Controls... and that's realy funny story. They feel like controls from previous decade, like in FE1 and 2 you need to learn how to tank controls during fights.I think main gripe with this game for many players comes from controls and character abillities.They are somewhat wonky and hard to master. On top tutorial doesn't explain realy good how to play this game.You have to figure this out for yourself. You can go guns blazing or you can play this game as tactical strategy for the most part.Strategy option is wierd, hard to use and takes time to fully understand. Sedna can be realy challenging at times.This is not mainstream game and definetly not for everyone.If you like challenge and torture yourself a bit :P get this game. It's realy enjoyable!Very nice first step to revivie FE series. Every FE fan should try this game.Now I'm looking foward to play Fear Effect: Reinvented ( can we have FE: Inferno to? )THX Sushee.. cool seeing the team again,but the puzzles are like the worst from the old puzzle game eras,with convoluted badly made logicgame gets 6/10 the low level of the puzzles gets 2/10oh the gunfights are basically shooting hoping for the best then trying to reach a checkpointi hope they make another game which is better. It looked to be OK with some comic-like art, it is OK i guess, (lunar sale 1/10 the $) but I think this was designed with a console controller in mind. Movement is nyeuh using a keyboard. recommended only if you have some sort of twin-stick controller on PC. I decided quickly to move on to a more robust character management game such as Dungeon Siege 1.(which I also purchased during a holiday sale, like a dollar. just go play this instead.)
